Letter N Sunflower

The Letter N pictures...for the sunflower page 

I have so very thoughts about this page... it was the first thing I did towards this project... and I really was so very excited to finally get started... I was able to keep that excitement going thru the entire project... and still have it... and am on the last little bit of this process... writing about the pages...  
so here we go...   

 

As you can see this is the page without being glued onto the black... I have done this so that you can see it a little bit easier... less bulk... 

 

 

Two different metal plates... one a key plate and the other a label piece. ... added together and then rusted with vintage photo embossing powder and also with a little black... as is the frame...  which is a Spellbinder.   

 

texture paste on the upper corner... and the crow here is STAMPED...  not cut out... 

 

 

I also embossed the brads which were huge brass ones for school reports... think that the challenge right now is to use School / office supplies for Craft Hoarders Anonymous...  by the time this is published, it will be another theme... but for now, I am thinking of using these kinds of things... 

 

 

This week The Vintage Journey has a theme of Heavy Metal.. 

I have used other metals in this project also... but am thinking of all the wonderful times I have had with your challenges... love them all..  

 

Okay.. after opening that panel... you will see this... 

an envelope made from K and company paper... love their printed papers... when I use printed papers... 

 

 

 

in the envelope there is another envelope...  an important one that holds a key for the safe deposit box...  YIKES... better be important info in this... !!! 

 

Oh wow... 

 

A small piece of paper found in my paper stash of paper that I make... can't throw any of that away... so this was in there.. just this size... 

 

Folded... and then stamped... and then clip art added... and what fun... 

 

of course both sides are done... 

 

Okay... I took this picture prior to adding all of the other pages to this page... 

 

An inked background... and then a sunflower...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Okay...

The center... I have to be honest... I do love it..

but

IT WAS A MISTAKE... 

I drew a circle.. and cut it out...

put dots of Liquid pearl all around the inked circle...

put it aside to dry...

 

WAIT....

Wait... 

wait...

Can't wait any longer... test to see if dried...

NOT .

So I took the heat gun and started to heat it up.. and they all started to pop.... so I kept on doing it... finally it looked like this...  and then I

Smeared it... so I smeared the whole thing... 

and this is what I came out with....

I love it... looks like a center...

sort of ...

kind of...

 

I had cut all kinds of petals out, freehand and added them to the back ground... 

could I duplicate this... most likely NOT... but it do love this one.. 

Old scrabble letters... 

a little tear in the paper... and a dragonfly escapes...
