The Letter T Empty Nester

The Letter T... Empty Nester...

Oh the joys and the pains of being an empty nester.. .LOL..
Every mother waits for the day when her little ones have matured and have mastered life...  to the fullest... I know I did...

We have two children and both are very successful in all different ways...  both are very creative and both are in the arts of all kinds...

Our daughter is in a management position for an after school program...  where there are lots and lots of crafts, thinking, and processing of more people to teach and work with the 1000's of children in the program...  she also is a potter... and a very good one... love the colors she uses too..  amazing how the genes flow... and how the minds flow too..

Our son is a chain saw carving sculptor... and travels the world wide to show his work and leave pieces of his feelings all over the place...  he has a studio also in his home... and sells piece of his and other artists from all over the world there too...  great fun

so Empty nester I am... and proud and happy that they are doing all that they are doing...  Momma bird has to think about letting them go...  and she does that here...

I am sorry that I don't have pictures of this page being made... as the paper was a mistake paper..

Do you ever make mistakes...
DON't EVER THROW the paper AWAY!!!
I have these piles of paper to use... and they do get used...
CRAFT HOARDERS ANONYMOUS ...
please take note... I use it...

Okay.. I had started to use some textured paste and didn't like the way it same out... so I smeared the paste all over the paper and let it dry...

the textured paste was light orange...  really light orange...  and so I found this laying on the table when I went to think about what to do for this next page...

You got it...
so I added some orange and started to do the tree with a black marker...

no good...

tried all kinds of things... finally a paint brush and india ink...
except the ink ran...
oh well.. not a problem.. I let it do that... and this is what it came out looking like..

I added the little nest... a piece of raffia and a few little clay birds that I made with a mold... and let them air dry and then painted them...

Now Momma bird is sitting in the tree... wings down... just enjoying the little ones romping in the limbs...
so very special.. .
