The Letter R Dragonfly landing

The Letter R... Dragonfly landing...
this was a huge page to photo... I hope you can understand all the sections...  There was so very much that I wanted to share etc... and so I tried to cram it all into the last four pages...  yikes... so very much yet to do...

So here is Dragonfly landing....

I really had a lot of fun doing all these pages... and prior to starting them... I knew that there were certain things that I wanted to do.. and use...

I also wanted to do a lot of challenges with in this whole piece... and I did... and am still doing many even as I post this...

One of the challenges was Sunday Stamper, where Hels wanted SHADING done... I did it here...
But I have to tell you this...  when cleaning out bins and things... I came across this tag... as you see it here... there must have been something on it... like a flower or something... but it wasn't there anymore...
On the back it says Sunday Stamper and Simon Says Monday Challenge...  2011...  Funny...
So I decided to use it again..
On Monday a few weeks ago now, I checked the challenges to see what they were ... and low and behold they were shading for Sunday Stamper and for Simon Says it was make a stamp out in front of everything...  the last Stamp tember challenge...

Okay... so...
When I went to my bin to start to work today, I had put this tag into the bin for this particular page I was going to do... and there it was... again... same day for the same two challenges...  I really had to add it onto this area... that is a powerful thing when that happens..

shading...  used charcoal pencil and then used my little finger to spread it out and shade that area...

I used Inka Gold on my leaf stamp and got this look

Okay... another challenge...  Sugar Creek Hollow
was to play HIDE ANS SEEK
So since I was going to put some leaves on here... I decided to hide a little fairy under the leaves...

There he is...

All hidden under the leaves... which of course can be picked up so you can see him...

But then... I finished the tag off with a multi winged DRAGONFLY....
that was for the Simon Says Monday Challenge..
I used a different color on each set of wings...
she is beautiful to say the least...
I love it...
She is ELEGENT PLUS...

The little BIRD... bird, bird, bird, bird, is watching her...

You can see the three sets of wings here...

And also the way it is situated on the page...

This is a small tag and it was glued onto another very special piece of paper...
Do you ever have scraps of paper that are all the same size... because you have trimmed something ... and now what do you do with all these pretty scraps...

Well I was tired of throwing them away and or putting them into a place to never use them... because you can't find them etc...
So one time when this happened, I sat there and made a woven mat of them... and this is that mat...

So next time this happens... make a mat... they are pretty and full of great colors... colors that you normally would not mix or use together... but when done like this... a huge rainbow of wonderful color...  love it...

I added a tissue sunflower here that was from my stash too.. . layers and layers of yellow tissue paper all folded for each petal... and glued on to a circle and then the center done... but this time I did let the center DRY...  must not have been in a hurry... as I also didn't use it...  it has been in my flower drawer section for a long time...

Sunflowers are so very special.. they peek over things in just the right places... like this...
love them... so happy... just to be a sunflower...

Okay.. .back on the track... here...
Then there is a little pocket page... and in that pocket are little envelopes that I love to make... I had to use them up... they were screaming CROW...

I used some textured paste and made the front of the pocket an then colored it with embossing powder.. so that it dried quickly... See Pamellia... I do use it a lot...  nice a quick.

I added a few leaves and a couple of paper beads...  just for the color...

Making these beads is a fun way also to use up scraps of paper...

Small envelopes...
The tallest one is 2 inches tall...

The card inside... says to FLY..

In the smallest envelope a little card...
saying LIVE IS GOOD...
So very true...
Affirmations of the positive will always shed good new light on the subject...  always think or try to think on the positive side of things...

Okay... turning the pocket over... you see more leaves, and beads...

and a dragonfly with a POD... love pods remember..???

There is another tag...
on a tag...
and the CROW...
getting READY for take off...
and a dragonfly...

Here is the crow...  up closer...
Love him...
the plant is a Remnant Rub from tim holtz...

This is the crow prior to being put onto the tag...

Dragonfly is on leaves that I stamped and then cut out...
I love making those leaves...

Okay... now you open up the tag and this is what you see...

I took that wonderful texture paste and a stencil and made the leaves...

Then I embossed it...
and then I did my painting thing...
generally I do it the other way around... so this was different for me..  nice... just different..

I love to take die cuts, and a piece of plastic and make my own stencil...  that is what I did with the leaves...  then I used again the texture paste... and made this page...

In the center of the 'wreath'
I put a gift that a very special friend gave me...
it is a real maple leaf and dipped in copper liquid.. it is stiff but so very pretty... I just wanted to put it here.. tied with a pretty orange ribbon...

I did use a lot of Pickeled Raspberries ink... I love that stuff..  have to buy stock in it...  LOL..
