The Letter E Match boxes with secrets

Once again... I have so many things that I wanted to do... and this is the last page of my box... but there will be other challenges that   I will get to do my own thing with... so I can enjoy this last page and get done the last little bit...

The Letter E with Match boxes and secrets... oh what fun.. .

This page took a lot of thinking and planning...  a couple of days went into this one...

Mr. Crow was trying to bring leaves to the MRS... for a last litter of little ones...
and he is also LOOKING into the future of the spring time
(In the center of the OVAL SHADOW box... )
wondering what will happen over the winter months...

you see Crows mate for life...
so he was planning all the things that he wanted to do...
Places to go and see...

The leaves are falling .. the acorns on the go too... rolling all over the place... and those crazy squirrels collecting them all..

Well here is to a happy winter...
Good Bye FALL...

I have certainly enjoyed your color this year...

Mr Crow has a leaf in his mouth...

You can see the inside of the oval shadow bow...  what a fun thing to create...  loved making it...

Then I started to play with the thickness of this page in this last section... I knew that I wanted to use some match boxes... and also this dome...

What to put into it...

Well it all fell into place...
things happen to do that here...
do they are your work table too???

I love these little domes... they are about 1.5 inches tall and only about the size of a dime around.. so you can't get much in there...
So I cut a piece of my bark... and then put some dragonflies on there... I colored the dragonflies with alcohol inks...
(yes out in the garage...  don't breath that stuff in... not too good for the body...very toxic to breath...  )

I colored them RED, YELLOW and BLUE...
the basic colors...  the colors that all other colors come from... as I am hoping that this year we will see every color dragonfly on the farm...

Then I tucked it into the page... which you will see closer in a minute...  also put a nice acorn there...  a resin one...

A few corks from my friend Sheila... thanks so very much Sheila.. I will be doing other things with them... just havn't had time yet...  but thanks for all that you so graciously gave to me... what a bag ...

As you can see the corks were cut to match the thickness of the page...

The match boxes sort of made the height decision...

There are three match boxes here...  with a secret one yet...

In each match box there is a story..
Stories of crows...
The silver pill shaped thing opens and has a secret in it...
Oh if I told you... it wouldn't be a secret would it???

the background is embossed bricks...

an apple made from air drying clay and cookie cutters...  and a small piece of my vintage dictionary pages...

Okay... I have this side ways ... so that Mr and Mrs Crow will not see what it really is...
Crows are really in fear of the owls...
this little match box though is in honor of the owl...
as a predator is always out there...
just remember that...

The three boxes...  under that page... or in the page...

But there is one last one...
the magical one...
The one with the fairy in it...
Fairies hold together the farm..
they manage the energy and the biorhythms of the farm...
no secret... just is...
and the Purple Dragonfly...
and the purple rose...
(that was just on my work table... and it needed to used...LOL)

And it is on the top of the page... where all precious things should be kept...

Hope you have enjoyed all these extra pictures and pages...
It took a lot to finish them.. .but knew that some of you would love them...

Thanks for taking the time to look and see.

  1. Love this match box idea, Bonnie! And that oval shadowbox. How cool! I am now getting these when I click on. Taking a break from my Halloween decorating, so thought this is where I want to spend it! Maybe you are getting something in the mail today???
